Youth Pottery: Christmas Ornaments & Clay Gingerbread Houses
Get into the holiday spirit with the November installment of our Youth Pottery series! Learn to make lidded containers using the slab machine, a skill that can then be applied to creating your own Christmas ornaments and clay gingerbread houses. This workshop meets for a total of three(3) sessions from 3:30 - 5:00pm on November 2nd, 9th, and 16th. The tuition is $120/person and includes all three sessions. Appropriate for students ages 5 and up.
About Our Youth Pottery Classes
The Bascom's Ceramics Department offers young artists an opportunity to have fun, while helping developing style, technique, form, and concept. Classes incorporate a variety of techniques using the potter's wheel, slab roller, and hand building methods. Scholarships are available. Classes meet from 3:30 - 5:00pm on select Wednesdays each month and are appropriate for students ages 5 and up. A minimum of 4 students per class is required for classes to proceed as scheduled.
Need more flexibility? When our regular youth pottery offerings fall on inconvenient dates or times, The Bascom offers "Art by Appointment", custom designed classes for individuals or groups. For more information, visit our Private Classes page or contact Frank Vickery at
