Youth Pottery: Face Jugs
The May installment of our Youth Pottery Workshop series will focus on using hand building techniques to create fun face jubs. This workshop meets for a total of three(3) sessions from 3:30 - 5:00pm on May 10th, 17th, and 24th. The tuition is $120/person and includes all three sessions. Appropriate for students ages 5 and up.
Resident Artist Series: Beginner Potter's Wheel (June)
The June installment of our Resident Artist Series will focus on providing you with all the basics you will need to know to get started working on the potter's wheel. We will make bowls and cylinders. The class meets from 10am - 12pm/noon on June 7th, 9th, 14th, and 16th.

Artist Talk & Reception: Japanese Pottery Making with Takuro and Hitomi Shibata
Join Japanese potters Takuro and Hitomi Shibata for an artist talk followed by a reception on Thursday, July 7th from 4 - 5pm. This event is free and open to the public, no registration required.
Japanese Pottery Making
In this 3 day, hands on workshop, students will learn how to create various utilitarian pottery forms. The class meets July 8th - 10th from 9am - 4pm with a one-hour break at noon.
11th Annual Studio Barn Pottery Show
The summer installment of our 11th annual pottery shows will be held on Friday, July 22nd and Saturday, July 23rd from 10am - 5pm in the historic Dave Drake Studio, formerly known as Crane’s Riding Stable. Enjoy wonderful and beautiful handmade pottery including both functional wares and sculpture. All work is made by studio members and made in the Dave Drake Studio. Three Potters Symposium: Tradition and Place, Past and Present
“Tradition and Place, Past and Present”: Celebrating its 12th anniversary, The Bascom's annual Three Potters Symposium for 2022 will highlight the pottery and clay traditions of Seagrove, NC, featuring potters David Stuempfle, Pam Owens, and Chad Brown.

The August installment of our Resident Artist Series will focus on providing you with all the basics you will need to know about using the slab machine to construct various shapes from templates. The class meets from 10am - 12pm/noon on August 9th, 11th, 16th, and 18th.

The September installment invites our younger artists to help us fight hunger as part of our Empty Bowls project. Learn to throw bowls, have fun, and do it all for a good cause! Appropriate for students ages 5 and up.
