Description
Open Studio is an independent study program designed to give artists a space to practice and develop ideas in clay. The studio provides clay, glaze, and firings for members and is open 7 days a week, closed only for special occasions such as workshops or events. Must be a Bascom member to participate. Requirements for participation
Must have experience. Take 3 sessions of the Resident Artist Series, multiple clay workshops or private classes at The Bascom. Must be approved by Director of Ceramics.

Must be approved by Director of Ceramics and be a Bascom Member
Open Studio Hours
- Monday - Saturday; 10am – 5pm
- Sunday; Noon – 5pm
Tuition:
- 1 month (Jan – March): $150 | (April – December): $175
- 3 months: $495
- 6 months: $1,000
- *1 year: $1,700
+Year Memberships Includes:
- Bascom Name Tag
- Bascom Apron
- Resident Artist Series (pre-registration required) does not include Short Term Resident Classes
- Invited to Bascom Clay Symposium Reception
- Work made at home can be fired in studio kilns
- 1, 25 lb bag of clay
- No booth fees for annual pottery shows
- No fee for firing in gas kiln (spearate fee for firing work in Soda Kiln $40 per shelf - measured by size)
- Potential to be a studio assistant for a workshop with more than 8 students (pre-register)
