Description

Open Studio is an independent study program designed to give artists a space to practice and develop ideas in clay. The studio provides clay, glaze, and firings for members and is open 7 days a week, closed only for special events, workshops, and holidays. Limited availability. Take 3 sessions of the RAS, or take multiple clay workshops at The Bascom. Must be approved by Director of Ceramics.

Open Studio Hours

• The studio is open to members beginning at 9 am.  Open in the evenings April - November 5pm - 7pm, Tuesday - Thursday

Tuition:

• 1 month $200
• Regular 3 month Membership: $550
• 3 months of the Resident Artist Series (3 classes, includes clay) + 3 month membership: $900
• Regular 6 month Membership: $1000
• 6 months of the Resident Artist Series (6 classes, includes clay) + 6 month membership: $1600
• *Regular Year Membership: $1900
  • *$1800 if renewed by January 31^st
• *1 year of the Resident Artist Series (11 classes, includes clay) + Year Membership: $2500

*Year and **6 month Memberships Includes:

• NARM Card
• One-time 10% discount in our retail space
• Bascom Name Tag
• Bascom Apron
• Work made at home can be fired in studio kilns

*Year Long Membership Also Includes:

• One 25 lb bag of clay
• Potential to be a studio asst for a workshop with more than 8 students (preregister)
• First right of refusal for a booth in the studio for 2 annual shows
• Designated area on the for-sale shelves in the studio show area

**6 Month Membership Includes 

• First right of refusal for studio covered terrace
