Landscape Elements with focus on Trees
This 6 session online workshop will initially focus on understanding and painting trees in our landscape. We will explore a variety of tree types and the process that goes into the painting of trees. From the initial drawing in order to creating depth and detail, to sky holes, edges, form, and perception. The second half of the workshop will be concerned with integrating trees within the landscape and how deliberate design and composition can create a more cohesive and believable painting. We will also talk about the psychology of trees in our environment and how to get more emotion and mood from these elements with paint.
Each session includes lecture, demo, and personal critiques, and will be recorded for
future viewing.
