Art by Appointment: Ceramics

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at clay? Have friends in town and need a fun activity? The Art by Appointment in Clay option is the perfect class for you. Pick a class option and project, wear some old clothes, and a knowledgeable instructor will guide you through the process. We provide classes for hand building using the slab machine, free hand, or the potter’s wheel. Each person can expect to make 2-3 pieces. The method of making is up to the group, but needs to be decided before arrival. Pieces will be ready 3 weeks after date of appointment.

Class Options:

Open Registration: $90/adult; $80/child (8 seats available)
Private Class: $125/person
Student Designed Project: Cost TBD. Student picks and designs a project of their choice with instructor guidance and assitance. Days and Times subject to availability. Based on project complexity and taking in student and/or instructor skill level and other limitations, please allow up to 3 consecutive sessions to complete and possibly 2-3 sessions to glaze and fire. Some experience necessary.

Terms & Conditions

Fee includes 6lbs of clay, instruction, glazing, and firing. Please understand we strive to deliver back to you a perfect piece of pottery. The glaze colors have a range of possibilities, clay has a mind of its own, and things happen. A credit card reserves your spot. No shows are charged the appointment fees. Cancellations day of are charged 50% of the appointment fees. Special firings for rushed completion cost is $50. Special glaze request, multiple colors, cost is TBD based on complexity (instructor has right of refusal). $25 packing and handling for all appointments requiring shipping, separate from shipping charges.
