How does it work?
Whenever you register for a class or workshop online, you'll be prompted to create a user account during the registration process. The information you provide there can then be used to log in here.
- Register for a Workshop
- Create your username and password during the registration process
- Check your email (Don't see it in your inbox? Check your junk/spam folder and mark it as not junk/spam)
- Click on the activation link in the email and... Voila! You're good to go!

The Bascom's Education Department is committed to providing life-enriching experiences through comprehensive arts education for children and adults. We offer a variety of educational programs which include workshops, ongoing classes, Art by Appointment, Open Studio Packages, field trips, demonstrations, community classes, and clubs - designed to meet the needs of artists of all skill levels.

Refund Policy (Please Read!)
50% of your tuition payment is a non-refundable deposit. In the event that a student requests cancellation prior to 45 days of class/workshop commencement, he/she will be offered a course transfer or refund of 50% of the tuition payment. If a student cancels within 45 days prior to the first day of class, no refund will be made. The Bascom reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet minimum enrollment, and full refunds will be issued.

Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt
During Vist Highlands' Halloween Celebration, search for handcrafted ceramic pumpkins, created by students in The Bascom Clay Studio, hidden around downtown.
Resident Artist Series: Holiday Clay Projects
In this 5 day hand building class, we will create holiday themed clay projects using the slab roller. Projects include snowmen luminaries, Christmas village luminaries, gnomes, advent wreath/Hanukkah menorah, etc. Templates will be provided, but students are welcome to create their own. The class includes Open Studio only on the day of class. There is no glazing component included in the class. Please see Glazing Class in the Resident Artist Schedule.
Youth Homeschool Pottery: Gingerbread House
Students will make and decorate their own clay gingerbread house. Students will glaze their pottery on the last day of class and work will be available for pickup or shipping two to three weeks after last class.
Class Meets: November 4, 11, and 18

All Ages Pottery: Turkey Pinch Pot Vase
Inspired by the classic handprint turkey, make a pinch pot turkey (with your hand as the tail) and turn it into a special holiday vase. Work will be available for pickup or shipping two weeks after class.
Suitable for ages 6 and up
Youth Needle Felting: Thanksgiving Turkey!
Create a festive Thanksgiving Day felt turkey while exploring fun, hands-on felting techniques.
Ages: 7-12
Beginner Needle Felting: Autumn Scene
Create festive St. Patrick’s Day felt projects while exploring fun, hands-on felting techniques.
Resident Artist Series: Glazing Class
This class is for students who have bisque pieces ready to glaze. These pieces could have been made in Open Studio, the Resident Artist Series, Workshops, etc.
All Ages Pottery: Gingerbread Mug
Make a special holiday mug. Work will be available for pickup or shipping two to three weeks after class.
Suitable for ages 6 and up.
Youth Printmaking: Make your own Wrapping Paper and Gift Tags
Children will work with instructor Caryn Raming to use different stamping and printmaking techniques to create custom wrapping paper and gift tags!
