Sotheby's Artist Reception with Frank Vickery and Ester Lipscomb

The Bascom, in collaboration with Highlands Sotheby's, will present a meet and greet reception with ceramic artists Frank Vickery and Ester Lipscomb Friday, June 6 from 4:30 - 6 pm at Highlands Sotheby's. A selection of the artists' work will be available for purchase. Additionally, more works are available at The Bascom.

About the Artist: Frank Vickery
Frank Vickery has been working in clay for 20 years with multiple years devoted to instruction in clay arts. His ceramic works and teaching approach centers around the contributing education model of workshops, academia, and dedicated studio hours. Frank started his career as a middle school art teacher in Rock Hill, South Carolina. His graduate work was completed at Western Carolina University, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2012. Frank is currently the Director of Ceramics at The Bascom where he also teaches ceramics classes. Frank is known for the quality of his work, his dedication to the field of ceramics, and his enthusiastic ability to share his talent and knowledge with his students.
About the Artist: Ester Lipscomb
Ester Lipscomb has been making and teaching pottery for over 20 years. She loves creating space for people to connect with their inner creative spirit and experience the joy that comes from making things with their hands. She holds a degree in Art Education from the University of North Georgia and has taught in a wide variety of settings, including public school, private workshops and community studios. Many know her as The Bascom's Ceramics Artist-Educator, where she teaches a variety of clay classes.
