Join nationally recognized Master Impressionist Dmitri Wright for a transformative 3-day workshop that guides artists through the expressive evolution of Impressionist painting—from the natural observation of the Classical Impressionists, through the symbolic depth of the Post-Impressionists, to the visionary freedom of the Transcendent Impressionist approach. Rooted in plein air tradition yet forward-reaching in spirit, this workshop explores how to move from painting what we see, to painting what we feel and know. Participants will journey through three levels of artistic development:

Natural Impressionism: capturing light, color, and atmosphere through observation

Post-Impressionism: incorporating symbolic form, composition, and expressive intent

Transcendent Impressionism: integrating imagination, emotion, and inner vision to create works that uplift and illuminate

A unique aspect of this workshop is the use of artist journaling as an idea generator—fusing sketches, words, and intuitive marks to deepen personal vision and artistic voice.

Each day includes:

Live painting demonstrations

Guided journaling and expressive exercises

Individualized mentoring and group critique

Instruction on brushwork, color harmony, compositional rhythm, and poetic form
