In this workshop, the focus will be as follows: 

1) Learning to observe scenes carefully before taking action,

2) thinking about what elements are important and which are extraneous, and how all the basic painting/drawing concepts will apply, and,

3) creating a painting that exhibits your best skills and expresses your individual message or feeling. 

Award winning painter and teacher, John Guernsey, will guide you through this informative and 'breakthrough' workshop. They'll be a varied approach of demonstration, group discussions, and a lot of class painting with assistance from Mr. Guernsey. All levels of skill will benefit. Open to acrylic painters as well as oil.  It'll be a fun time of learning and camaraderie.
