REFUND POLICY (Please Read)
50% of your tuition payment is a non-refundable deposit. In the event that a student requests cancellation prior to 45 days of class/workshop commencement, he/she will be offered a course transfer or refund of 50% of the tuition payment. If a student cancels within 45 days prior to the first day of class, no refund will be made. The Bascom reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet minimum enrollment, and full refunds will be issued.

From Realism to Abstraction
Simplification is the main focus of this class. An overview of techniques to use in your realistic or abstraction work with oil painting is our goal. Karen teaches two ways of using very limited usage of oil paints to learn palette knife techniques.
Resident Artist Series: Beginner Potter's Wheel Making PUMPKINS! (October)
The October installment of our Resident Artist Series will focus on providing you with all the basics you will need to know to get started working on the potter's wheel. In honor of the season, we'll be making PUMPKINS! The class meets from 10am - 12pm/noon on October 4th, 6th, 11th, and 13th.
11th Annual Studio Barn Pottery Show
The fall installment of our 11th annual pottery shows will be held on Friday, October 14th and Saturday, October 15th from 10am - 5pm in the historic Dave Drake Studio, formerly known as Crane’s Riding Stable. Enjoy wonderful and beautiful handmade pottery including both functional wares and sculpture. All work is made by studio members and made in the Dave Drake Studio. Big Pots Through History
This 5 day, hands on intensive workshop will explore the art and history of making “BIG POTS”. Kate will teach a physically accessible large pot making process with roots in ancient Thailand.
Resident Artist Series: Beginner Slab Work (November)
The November installment of our Resident Artist Series will focus on providing you with all the basics you will need to know about using hand building techniques and the slab machine to make christmas ornaments, gnomes, and other related holiday projects. The class meets from 10am - 12pm/noon on November 8th, 10th, 15th, and 17th.
