Earthday Monoprints
Explore the possibilities of printmaking through experimentation with recycled detritus in honor of Earthday! Discarded waste and single use plastics, find new life on paper when utilized to create texture and light through the making of mono-prints. In this one day workshop, students will put to use found and gathered materials to create gelli-plate and pulled inked plates. Students will learn how to use the studio press as well as methods to create endless prints at home. This type of art making requires no experience and results in beautiful pieces that can be used as the basis for later prints, collages, or enjoyed on their own! Recycled plastic and styrofoam will be provided but students are encouraged to bring their own detritus for experimentation!
3 Day Leather Crafting Workshop with Tom Slavicek

With your first bag all done on Day One you can make some accessories for days two and three, such as a leather belt, phone pouch, key fobs, “magic braid” bracelets, and other smaller projects…OR…you can make another bag such as a Fringe Bag, portfolio, etc.!
