Artist Bio
Ester Lipscomb is a ceramic artist living in North Georgia, where she makes functional and sculptural clay objects inspired by a long-standing desire to run away and live in a hut in the woods, with forest animals for friends.
Born in Alaska and shaped by a childhood spent largely outdoors, Ester has always been drawn to the quiet details of the natural world—moss on fallen trees, leaves caught in spider silk, moths hiding in plain sight. Her work is an invitation to slow down and notice, echoing a world where everything is connected and small things matter.
Working in clay for nearly thirty years, Ester creates pieces meant to be lived with, touched, and used. Whether functional or sculptural, her work brings a bit of the forest—and a moment of pause—into everyday life.
