Artist Statement

I have been creating ceramic art for over 50 years. I decded at the age of 18 to study painting and ceramics at the University of Cincinnati. Whether functional or sculptural, my pieces reflect my deep admiration to form and colorful surfaces. I use more than one technique to create my one of a kind pieces. Each vessel can include elements of wheel thrown, and handbuilt embellishments. Connecting to the natural world is very important to me.
