Artist Statement
Rebekah Jewel Webb, creator of Jewel Pottery, was born & raised in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC. She started her journey as a potter in 2016. Her botanical work is imprinted with locally sourced plants native to the area. She uses watercolor underglaze to emphasize the individuality and uniqueness of nature. No two plants are the exact same and her pieces reflect that.
Rebekah has always been inspired by the intricate details found in nature. She believes that by appreciating the little things in life, you build a mindset of gratitude. Whether it’s admiring the flowers in your backyard- or the ones imprinted on your mug- it’s important to pause to appreciate what’s around you, and rejoice in it! The flowers may fade, but thankfulness keeps growing. Her pieces are inspired by this truth, and her hope is to spark joy in others.
