Together, participants design a site-specific, stunning and functional garden concept. This creative work is intended for implementation on a pre-selected area of the Bascom campus. |
A Day of Journaling
Journaling is more than keeping a daily log. In this lively class you’ll learn some new techniques to spice up your journaling experience. Right and left-brained exercises will help you check in yourself and your feelings, write great descriptions, envision your future, manage your time, and much more! Most exercises can be done in 5 to 10 minutes, leaving you with no more excuses of “I don’t have time to journal.” Sharing your discoveries with your classmates, if you choose, adds to the camaraderie and fun. |
Woodblock Prints with Jacoub Reyes
This course is an introduction to woodblock printing. Students will draw, transfer, carve and print 9x12” blocks by methods of hand printing and using an etching press. Drawing and design are important; experimentation is encouraged. Notable artists covered include Pavel Acevedo, Sthenjwa Luthuli, Mk Kabrito, StinkFish, Mazatli, KillJoy, Judy Pfaff, Frank Stella, Ivan Bautista, among others. |
