Join artist Karen Weihs for her 16th year teaching palette knife and brush techniques using Cobra water mixable oils (or your preferred medium). In her workshop, From Realism to Abstraction, Karen focuses on how the landscape can serve as the foundation for abstraction. Participants will learn to guide the viewer's eye through value color studies and strong composition, as well as explore various techniques for holding the knife and creating a wide range of marks. Each morning features demos, followed by personalized guidance in the afternoon as Karen helps each student through the process. From Karen Weihs regarding supplies: I listed my complete supply list I have ordered all my years of teaching and it is filed from Dick Blick who will compensate me a tiny bit for referrals.
