Artist Talk & Reception: Japanese Pottery Making with Takuro and Hitomi Shibata
Join Japanese potters Takuro and Hitomi Shibata for an artist talk followed by a reception on Thursday, July 7th from 4 - 5pm. This event is free and open to the public, no registration required.
About the Artists
Hitomi and Takuro Shibata are potters originally from Shigaraki, Japan. Together, they founded STUDIO TOUYA, a pottery studio located in Seagrove, NC, utilizing a Japanese-style wood kiln. Their focus is to make simple & functional pottery by using local wild clay and wood firing techniques.
