Youth Pottery: Back to Basics Using the Slab Machine

The February installment of our Youth Pottery Workshop series will focus on using the slab machine to make functional wares to be enjoyed with family and friends. This workshop meets for a total of three(3) sessions from 3:30 - 5:00pm on February 8th, 15th, and 22nd. The tuition is $120/person and includes all three sessions. Appropriate for students ages 5 and up.

About Our Youth Pottery Classes

The Bascom's Ceramics Department offers young artists an opportunity to have fun, while helping developing style, technique, form, and concept. Classes incorporate a variety of techniques using the potter's wheel, slab roller, and hand building methods. Scholarships are available. Classes meet from 3:30 - 5:00pm on select Wednesdays each month and are appropriate for students ages 5 and up.

Need more flexibility? When our regular youth pottery offerings fall on inconvenient dates or times, The Bascom offers "Art by Appointment", custom designed classes for individuals or groups.
