DESCRIPTION:Explore the expansive world of book arts in this 3 day workshop
 \, where you will learn the basics of papermaking and a variety of bookbin
 ding techniques! This beginner level class will introduce how to make pape
 r from organic and recycled pulp\, using a process simple enough to be rec
 reated at home or in the classroom. Students will learn how to use a mold 
 and deckle to pull their own sheets that can be later used in their hand-m
 ade books. Mia will be demonstrating book-binding techniques using stitchi
 ng and folding\, and students will have the opportunity to create two boun
 d works. This is the perfect class for art teachers looking to bring back 
 new skills to their classrooms\, or anyone interested in expanding their 2
 D practice to a 3D form!
